John McMillan, III
President, Founder
John has 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate business. He started in leasing and sales with Gerald Hines Interests, where he became Vice President of the Hines Industrial Division in Houston, Texas. He leased or sold over 3,000,000 square feet in various properties. He later served as president of Campbell McMillan Development, where he was the developer of the 1986 NAIOP award winning building, The Nowlin, now known as the SWBC Tower. He moved to north Atlanta, GA and formed Northward Real Estate, Inc. in 1989. John concentrated on brokerage and development int the Alpharetta, Roswell and Milton areas for more than 20 years. Experience includes Retail, Office, Residential Land Development and a few custom homes. He has been a Broker in the state of Georgia since 1987. John served at North Point Community Church, formed COB at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church Trustees, City of Milton Formation Board, and Alpharetta and Roswell Rotary Clubs.
John moved back to San Antonio in 2010 and joined First American Commercial Property Group. During his time there, he learned about the Texas residential lot business and San Antonio real estate market from their talented professionals. Highlights during John’s time at First American include the 2012 Industrial Building Sale of the Year from the San Antonio Business Journal and the Top Producer Award from the Costar Group.
John has acquired a number of lots throughout San Antonio, including the Schertz-Cibolo area. Because of these lots, John cofounded the home building division of South Texas Acquisitions with his son, John IV.

John McMillan, IV
John graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013. Prior to joining South Texas Acquisitions in February of 2014, he worked for Heritage Select Homes for about a year and a half. During his time at Heritage Select Homes, he managed auction and scouting operations for the real estate investment firm. He has extensive experience in evaluating and formulating offer pricing for auction housing acquisitions, management and leasing of retail commercial properties, tenant build out and property maintenance.
